Primary Nursing
Our primary nursing staff provides comprehensive physical, social and environmental assessments, case management, care plan development, individualized teaching and treatment programs, discharge planning, and client and caregiver support.

Additional programs:

  • Wound/Ostomy Care
  • Wound VAC (Vacuum Assisted Closure)

Types of clients who require Nursing Care:

  • Anyone newly diagnosed with an illness or with an exacerbation of a chronic illness who may need evaluation, education and/or treatment in any of the following areas:
    • Disease process
    • Signs and symptoms of complications
    • Prevention of further complications
    • Infection control
    • Medications
    • Nutrition
    • Exercise programs
    • Activities of daily living
    • Coping skills
    • Pain management
    • Pressure ulcers
    • Surgical wounds or drains
    • Urinary catheters
    • Ostomies
    • Safety

Outcomes and Benefits after receiving Nursing Care:

  • Our clients will achieve independence in the management of their disease process, diet, and medications. Our nursing staff will educate the client to be proactive in the ongoing management of their health upon discharge.

Experience or qualifications of our nursing staff:

  • Our primary nursing staff includes Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs), all of whom are licensed to practice in the state of Pennsylvania. The Registered Nurses undergo extensive training in the performance of the physical, social, and environmental, and safety assessments. All RNs are required to continue their professional development by participating in accredited continuing educational seminars and workshops.
